Infection Control

At Lusio Rehab, we understand that excellent infection prevention and control is a top priority in clinical settings. LusioMATE has been designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing infection control practices, both for in-clinic use and for home rehabilitation programs.

In-Clinic Use:

• LusioMATE sensors are made of hard plastic and can be easily wiped between patients using the same hard surface wipes your clinic already uses.
• For straps, the gold-standard recommendation is to assign them to a single patient and machine wash them at the end of the day, similar to slide sheets or other fabric equipment.
• If your clinic policy allows wiping fabric equipment between patients, you may continue to follow that approach.

Home Use:

• When LusioMATE and straps are provided to patients for home rehabilitation, straps can be machine washed upon return at the end of the program or discharge, ensuring they are hygienic for future use.

Supporting Rigorous Infection Control:

• Additional sets of straps can be supplied for a small fee, with discounted bundle options available for clinics using multiple units.
• Replacement cases can also be provided to manage soiled or worn equipment, or for clinics that prefer to swap cases between patients.

This guidance is intended to support your existing infection control practices and should not replace your  internal policies. LusioMATE is designed to be flexible and compatible with high standards of hygiene, giving you confidence to use it safely across multiple patients.
